Inspirations... What gets my creative juices flowing...

First of all I would like to thank my wonderful and creative cousin Heather for inspiring me to do this blog.. Her blog Wheat Penny Vintage talks about her and her husbands passion for vintage and re-purposed items and how they have incorporated into their home. I guess it runs in the family... <3

Here is the link to her blog....

......................................................................................................................................................

So this is a little collection of ideas and things on the never ending wish list of To-Dos....

A really cool planter made of glass bottles and cement.. and it appears to be on wheels..

Looks easy enough... just get some old gutters from the Re-Store, either drill holes in the bottom or tilt for drainage, paint (or not), mount them on a bare wall or under your windows, fill with dirt, plant seeds! Totally trying this!

Love this... Use a hanging fruit basket... it can be taken apart and altered to have a variety of tiers and layers.. I recommend reenforcing the connecting links to bare more weight,

Use a old collender. Freshen up with some paint if needed, attach some chain and hang in a sunny spot.. cute!

I see old tool boxes at the Re-store, thrift stores and yard sales all the time... there are so many options for shapes, sizes and colors,, the vintage ones are the coolest.. I would like to stack some from large to small for a tired style,,,

This looks really cool when done right... most people think that recycled tire planters are for rednecks but this might change their minds... this tire has been flipped inside out, cut a frayed top and painted... I don't think I would plant food in theses though due to the chemicals in the rubber leeching into the soil.. yuck           LINK* how to make these,,, this project is not for wussys!

Great re-use for all those used wine corks I know we all have lying around

Take a old broken and tired chair or stool and give it new life and then fill it with blooming new life!!

LOVE THESE! Palletes are free and found everywhere! I know Peaceful Valley and the Re-store in Grass Valley always have these out front... link* how to make these~!

Already gathering materials to make my own version of this to hide a bunch of building supplies piled up behind my cabin...

             Another cool gutter planter...

I really love this pot rack made out of old garden fencing.. I need one in my tiny kitchen for much needed storage...

Cute Idea for the bathroom.. use old handles mounted on a picture frame or fabric backing.. this could get really cool.. there are tons of great handles out there.. I remember Urban Ore in Berkeley CA having a huge u-pik section for just such gems...

Creative planter hooks made from spoons

WHAAAT?! cassette tape lamp.... I need!

Another simple and practical recycling project using old pallets..  This would be a great workbench, greenhouse table or decorative table for flower pots...

Tin can planters bursting forth with life,,,

And this is just the beginning! If you would like to check out more of the ideas I like and hope to be putting into action soon, go visit my Pinterest page...
